Lobkowiczky Pivovar Vysoky Chlumec The brewery in Vysoky Chlumec was established in 1466 and the Lobkowicz family purchased it in 1474. The Lobkowicz family has a long brewing tradition. It was interrupted only in 1939 when the brewery was confiscated by Nazis and the Lobkowicz family was forced to exile to Great Britain. After World War II they returned to Czechoslovakia just to see the communists take over their properties, including the brewery in 1948. In 1992 the brewery was returned to Lobkowicz family and American born William Lobkowicz took over management of the family's assets in the Czech Republic. The Lobkowicz brewmaster starts with pure water from the brewery's artesian wells and bohemian barley, which is turned into, malt in their own malt house. He brews the lagers in traditional copper brewing vats, adding aromatic Saaz hops by hand. Open fermentation enhances the beers unique character, and the final balance is rounded off by months spent in the lager cellars. The beers brewed in the Lobkowicz brewery point to the family's royal roots - Prince is a blonde bock, Knight is a bohemian style lager and Baron is a dark lager.

Plzensky Prazdroj Plezen, Czech Plzenský Prazdroj one of the worlds best know breweries. They began production in 1842. Pilsner Urquell was the first "pilsen" type beer in the world. Today it is a prominent brand of the global brewing empire SABMiller It has been the largest exporter of beer produced in the Czech Republic since 2000 when production surpassed that of Budejovický Budvar . A brewery museum ("Pivovarské muzeum") has been set up near the brewery in the authentic medieval brewing house with malt house, which has been declared a cultural monument. It includes the late Gothic malt house, kiln , original drying shed and two-level laying-down cellars with ice-cellar, which are hewn from the Pilsen substrata. The exhibition covers Pilsen's most ancient history, the development of crafts, the emergence and growth of the guilds, the beginnings and development of brewing, malting, the craft of cooper, haulage and catering

Pivovar Regent Trebon Trebon The brewery traces its history back to 1379. The brewery founded by monastic order. located in a complex of historic buildings in the medieval centre of town Trebon, belongs among the oldest continuously working breweries in the Central Europe

 

Pivovar Platan Protivin Protivin The brewery was founded in 1598. Owned by the Schwarzenburg family from 1711 until 1947, the brewery is located on a 14-hectare forested park, where "Summer under the Plane-tree" (platan = plane tree) programs are held, with a variety of musical programs in the area of Belveder. The name Platan (plane tree) was first used in 1973 for 11% light lager from Protivín. It was inspired by the fabulous triple plane tree alley, truly unique in this climatic zone, bordering the access road to the brewery.

 

Pivovar Pelhrimov Pelhrimov   Better know as Poutnik. The brewery can trace its history back to 1552. The brewery's name was changed to “Pivovar Poutník” (Poutník Brewery), in 2003 the logo was changed, and most significantly the beer-brewing recipe was changed and great emphasis was placed on the quality of ingredients so that the quality of each batch can be assured. All types of POUTNÍK brewery beer, whether it is draft beer, lager or the special, are made with the same technological process that is characterized by the manner of decoction and the subsequent long-term maturation during low temperatures around 2 °C.

They are two types of draft beer, two kinds of light lager, dark lager, beer and nonalcoholic beer with reduced sugar content. Light draught Kristián is popular. Ceský Krumlov was the name of the original brewery established in 1560, by William of Rosenberg. Krumlov was purchased by Eggenberg in 1991

Rodinny Pivovar Bernard Humpolec On October 26, 1991 Stanislav Bernard, Josef Vávra and Rudolf Šmejkal won an auction for the small privatization of the bankrupt brewery in Humpolec, established in the 16th century. It did not take long for the Family brewery in Humpolec and BERNARD beer to become a well-known premium brand throughout the entire Czech Republic.

 

Pivovarsky Dvur Zvikov Oslov Situated in the picturesque countryside at the confluence of the Otava and Vltava rivers near Zvíkov castle.
