Alaskan Brewing Co


Alaskan Brewing Company

In 1986, the Alaskan Brewing Company became the 67th operating brewery in the United States and the only one in Alaska. Since that time our products have brought home more than 33 major medals and awards, including "Best Beer in the Nation" in the 1988 Great American Beer Festival Consumer Preference Poll

The addition of a new, 100-barrel brewhouse in 1995, and a Sankey-type keg system installed the following year, finally made it possibleto produce enough beer  to service the entire Pacific Northwest and later the Desert Southwest.


Allagash Brewing Company

Owner Rob Tod (right )and his father Bob Tod sold their first batch of beer in the summer of 1995

 

Rob felt that the flavors and traditions of Belgium a European nation needed to be shared with the American drinking public. He designed a small 15-barrel brew house specifically to embrace the Belgian tradition of beer making, gathered the finest array of authentic raw materials and began his quest towards the production of traditional Belgian style ales.

Anchor Brewing

Located in San Francisco, California

The brewery was founded in 1896, and was purchased by its current owner, Frederick Louis Maytag III , in 1965. It moved to its current location in 1979 . It is one of the last remaining breweries to produce California Common beer , also known as Steam Beer , a trademark owned by the company.

 

 



Anderson Valley Brewing Company

August Schell Brewing Company

Located in New Ulm, Minnesota

 

Founded in 1860 by August Schell in the town of New Ulm. In 1885, they built the exquisite Schell Mansion on the brewery grounds, complete with formal gardens and deer park, all of which are listed on the National Register of Historic Sites

In 2002, Schell's acquired 109 year-old Grain Belt beer, in effect saving this legendary Minnesota beer from extinction. With the addition of Grain Belt, Schell's became the largest brewery in terms of gallonage in Minnesota and remains the oldest brewery in Minnesota


Bear Republic

Located in Healdsburg, California

A premier family owned Brew pub, Restaurant and Micro-Brewery in Healdsburg, Sonoma County. The American Brewery Festival gave the the Brewer of the Year award in 2006.

Their beers include: Racer Red, Red Rocket Ale,Hop Rod Rye, Big Bear Stout Ale and Pete Brown's Tribute Ale

 



Beaver Street Brewery

Located in Flagstaff, Arizona


The brewery along with Whistle Stop Cafe opened in 1994. This brewski's claim to fame: it took home the gold prize for best “South German Style” out of 60 competitors at the Great American Beer Fest in 2007.



Bell's Brewery

Located Galesburg, Michigan

Bell's Brewery, Inc. formerly Kalamazoo Brewing Company, founded by Larry Bell as a home-brewing supply shop in 1983, sold its first beer in 1985

Makers of 18 different beers including Oberon Ale,Kalamazoo Stout, Third Coast and Hell has no Fury Ale



Big Bear

Located in Coral Springs, Florida

Founded in 1996 by Greg Wentworth, who wanted to draw attention to the shrinking Black Bear population in Florida.

They make five beers and three seasonal brews; Kodiac Belgian Dubbel, Hibernation Pale Ale, Grizzly Red Ale ,Polar light, and Brown Bear Ale.

Big Sky Brewing Co

Located in Missoula, Montana

 

Big Sky Brewing Company was started by Neal Leathers, Bjorn Nabozney, and Brad Robinson. Brad and Neal had been homebrewers in Michigan since the mid 1980's, and had moved to Missoula with a group of friends in the summer of 1990

Beers include Moose Drool, Scape Goat, Trout Slayer Ale, and Big Sky IPA

 

 



Bison

Founded in 1989 ,Bison is a microbrewery in Berkeley , California that specializes in organic beer. Its brews include a Chocolate Stout , an IPA and a Gingerbread Ale, as well as a line of seasonal ales. Besides the West Coast, Bison products are distributed in Georgia, Florida, Ohio and Virginia.


Blue Moon

Located in Denver, Colorado

Blue Moon owned by the Molson Coors Brewing Company opened in 1995. Their Belgium White was a immediate sucess.  They won the 2008World Beer Cup Champion Brewery and Brewmaster
Large Brewing Company award.

Boundary Bay Brewing Co.

According to the Brewer's Association, Boundary Bay Brewery has sold more beer than any other brew pub in the nation for the year 2007, 5,300 barrels.

BridgePort Brewing Company

Founded in 1984 when Richard and Nancy Ponzi, a local wine making family, teamed up with brewer Karl Ockert, graduate of the University of California at Davis’ Malting and Brewing Sciences program, to establish the 600-barrel Columbia River Brewery. Later it became known as the BridgePort Brewery

Buzzard Bay Brewing

In 1982 the Russell Family purchased the historic, 140 acre "Long Acre Farm." The family declared they would use this South Coast farmland both for agricultural products (including food, wine and beer) and for education (about the value of working natural resources). The Russell's founded both Buzzards Bay Brewing and Westport Rivers Winery

Capital Brewery

Capital Brewery was founded on March 14, 1984. Located in a former egg processing plant building, Capital Brewery produced its first brew in the spring of 1986. Capital Brewery produces 15 - 17 beers through out the year. With the recent addition of Island Wheat, Capital now produces 8 annual, 4 seasonal, and 2 - 4 limited release brews. Currently produces approximately 17,000 barrels annually

Their beers include:Wisconsin Amber,Munich Dark,Brown Ale,Bavarian Lager,Fest and Capital's Island Wheat Ale


Calapooia Brewing Company

Located in Albany, Oregon

owned by Mark Martin and partner Laura Bryngelson.  Mark and Laura purchased the brewery in early in the summer of 2006 (brewery was previously known as Oregon Trader Brewing Co) It opened in 2007


Their top seller is called Yankee Clipper IPA, but the microbrewery also offers an amber, a stout, a pale ale and a wheat beer. They also make a Chile Beer

In 1853, Christian Moerlein changed from horseshoes and wagon wheels to barley and hops. Christian's craftsmanship became focused on brewing beer in the back of his workshop, one fine batch at a time. He began brewing European style beers according to old family recipes. Cincinnati grew thirsty for his beers and he established one of the most successful pre-Prohibition breweries in the nation, The Christian Moerlein Brewing Company of Cincinnati, Ohio.

The brewery failed during Prohibition. Honor was restored to Christian in 1981 when his brand was reintroduced to Greater Cincinnat

COOP Ale Works began with a humble home brewer and a simple dream. The idea spread as friends tasted the unique beers, and the popularity of those early batches encouraged a dedicated team of three partners to begin working to make the dream of a local brewery a reality.  Mark Seibold, JD Merryweather and Daniel Mercer spent the next two years traveling throughout the United States, Europe and Central America visiting breweries and sampling local flavors.  Another valuable team member was added when JD Merryweather met Chase Healey through a mutual friend. Chase began brewing with the COOP team and quickly took the brewing reigns from Mark Seibold.

Beers are Horny Toad Cerveza, Zeppelin German Wheat, Native Amber, DNR and Gran Sport Porter

 

 



Custom Brewcrafters

A small brewery in a tiny New York Village. Custom BrewCrafters owners Mike and Luanne Alcorn started their business in 1995. Today, there are over 50 custom beers brewed by Custom BrewCrafters.

Their beers include CBs Golden Ale, CBs English Pale Ale, Jeremiah's, Frog Grog and Hogans Park Ave Ale.

DogFish Head

The story of Dogfish Head began in June of 1995 when o Dogfish Head Brewings & Eats, the first state's first brewpub opened in the resort beach community of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. The plan was to bring original beer, original food, and original music to the area.

Not only was Dogfish Head Delaware's first brewpub, it was the smallest commercial brewery in America

The reputation of Dogfish Head ales quickly grew beyond Delaware's borders. Calls from Philadelphia, Washington D.C. and beyond poured in, as thirsty restaurant patrons demanded their favorite beach beer at home. The bottling Shelter Pale Ale began in 1996 and just 1 year later they expanded again – this time separating the packaging operation from the restaurant, and kept on brewing!
